Glucose Tests
Glucose tests measure the amount of glucose in the blood, also known as blood sugar levels. We all need glucose in our blood because it provides energy to our cells but having abnormal levels can be a sign of diabetes. High blood sugar levels for a long period of time increases the risk of diabetic complications such as kidney, heart and eye disease, nerve damage and stroke

HBA1C is a measure of glucose attached to your haemoglobin ( red blood cells) over 2- 3 months. The test is useful for diabetics to check their glucose control. The test can also show if you are at risk of diabetes ( pre-diabetes) and is recommended for anyone who might be at high risk of diabetes.
